Information Technology Division

The Information Technology Division (ITD) is the internal technology service organization for the California State Treasurer’s Office (STO). ITD provides comprehensive information technology and information processing support to the Treasurer’s Office divisions and to the associated Boards, Commissions, and Financing Authorities (BCAs) that organizationally report to the State Treasurer.

ITD’s mission is to enable the Treasurer’s Office and its BCAs to successfully achieve their program and business objectives through the efficient, secure, and reliable delivery of high-quality information technology products and services.

ITD supports STO and fourteen separate, quasi-independent Boards, Commissions, and Authorities by delivering modern, secure, and resilient technology solutions aligned with state standards and best practices.

Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity section is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of STO and BCA information assets. The team provides enterprise-wide security oversight, risk management, and compliance services to ensure alignment with state security mandates and industry best practices.

The Application Management section delivers application development, maintenance, and support services across the full application lifecycle. This team partners with business programs to design, build, enhance, and sustain applications that support critical financial, operational, and public-facing services.

The Workplace and Collaboration Services section provides technology services that support employee productivity, collaboration, and day-to-day operations across STO and the BCAs. This team ensures staff have reliable access to modern workplace tools and responsive end-user support.
